Yesterday, even though it was my birthday, I worked my ass off to finish this opt-in page, which I had committed to completing by the end of the week.

Thanks to Blitzit.app, I’m ahead of schedule.

About two weeks ago, I found this quote that I really liked:

“CHANGE WHO YOU ARE ON THE INSIDE TO CREATE THE LIFE YOU WANT ON THE OUTSIDE.”

I liked it so much that I decided to do something with it.

So, I opened my trusty old swipe file with all the magazine ads I’m talking about, like a broken radio that you should start building for yourself…

…and while I was scrolling through those magazine ads, I stumbled upon an idea that developed into this quote-style design.

And then, I liked it even more and decided to expand on it by trying different color palette variations and now I’m giving it away as a template.

The fonts you’ll need to upload into your Brand Kit for it to work are called:

“How long will it take me to learn Photoshop?”

Well, take a seat, dear friend, because you’re in for quite the journey.

I won’t sugarcoat it—diving into Photoshop, messing with displacement maps, and mastering all those tools (the Pen Tool being the trickiest) or even the simpler tasks like selecting and removing backgrounds from images… it felt like having my wisdom teeth pulled out.

Not the most seksiest thing to play with.

But as with anything worth learning, it’s tough at first before it becomes easier.

Fortunately, you’re in luck.

Nowadays, you don’t have to spend weeks, months, or years trying to master Photoshop to create stunning, high-converting images for your social media, websites, or landing pages.

No, there are much simpler, less complex, and faster solutions out there.

I don’t know about you, but pure black is a color I like to stay away from, for one simple reason… If it’s against white, it tends to strain my eyes.

Don’t get me wrong, I can think of examples where pure black is awesome and looks amazing, but as I’m saying, I’ve found a few other colors that I prefer.

It’s a matter of personal choice.

Nothing more.

Since Glorify introduced custom fonts, I jumped on it like ants on a Snickers bar, creating a small library of fonts I’ve used in just about every design I’ve ever made.

From social media posts to website banners and everything in between.

So it felt a bit disappointing at first to learn that Glorify won’t support custom fonts when sharing glorify templates. Meaning that if I want to share my Glorify templates with you, I either have to tell you the name of the font and you go and download it and then upload it to your Glorify brand kit, or I only use Google fonts…

I guess it’s not the end of the world…

But why?

Why not do something like what Canva did?

There are so many beautiful fonts out there… Hundreds if not thousands of them… and some of them don’t even come close to Google fonts, and yes, they’re free to download, and yes, you can use them for commercial purposes…

And it doesn’t matter if you’re designing ads, flyers, posters, banners, and so on, they simply look amazing with any project.

But anyway… such is life.

I’m using them anyway…

Here are four of my favorite fonts I’m playing with right now…

• Satoshi family

These fonts are on top of my list and work great with so many designs. Download them and upload them to your Glorify brand kit.

Now with this off my chest, I wanted to share with you my new design that got inspired by an adult show I watched with my girlfriend not too long ago…

Yesterday, a colleague of mine spilled her guts about her dream of becoming a health and wellness coach.

But here’s the thing…

She’s got the vision, the passion, but zilch when it comes to piecing it together.

Listening to her for few minutes I realized suggesting Leadpages would be like handing a caveman a smartphone.

So, I stepped up.

Fired up by her ambition, I threw together a killer landing page using Glorify. Shot her a quick message and bam, she was over the moon.

Now, it’s crunch time.

Heading to Leadpages to seal the deal.

Let’s hope the final landing page is gonna give smile on her face.

I think with such a mountain of chaos on her plate, any help is blessing.

Not sure where I heard it but I absolutely love it. It reminds me of old days (2008) when me and my mate took off to New Zealand and the only thing on our minds was to enjoy the road ahead. 

No phone… 

No internet…

The freedom lasted for about a year…

And I could trade everything I posses to ever experience it again. 

Either way… 

Love the freedom of not waking up to an alarm!

The greatest advice I’ve ever received was…

“Invest in yourself.”

I can’t tell you how much time I have wasted trying to learn things myself versus buying a course with a clear path, served on a silver platter.

I could have been miles ahead, waving at myself in the rearview mirror.

I could have saved at least 2 years of my life.

And so, always, no matter what you’re trying to learn, learn it from someone who’s exactly where you want to be.

Let me give you a quick example.

So, in 2011, when I was in New Zealand, I searched for graphic design courses and found a few I couldn’t afford.

And even if I could, I didn’t want to spend 1000+ on a course…

Huge mistake!

And here is why…

Instead of going through it, getting a certification, and opening up a ton of new opportunities to secure a new job or new clients or whatever…

I decided to learn things myself.

Six months later, I was more confused, with no direction, lost, with no clients, no new job…

Nothing!

Frustrated as hell.

When I finally pulled my head out of the sand and bought the course, I couldn’t believe how fast I progressed.

I secured a new client 4 weeks after the purchase.

I learned how to use Photoshop, something I wouldn’t have been able to do even if I had tried.

Not in 2011 when tutorials on Youtube were only few and hard to find.

And so…

Whatever you’re trying to learn, learn it from someone who has laid a clear path in front of you… Someone who’s exactly where you want to be.

Books, workshops, courses, whatever they offer, get it all!

Don’t jump from one expert to another.

Learn from one… and one only until you get where you want to be.

It’s the fastest way to progress in life.

Now I don’t use Photoshop anymore.

I ditched it back in 2020.

I replaced it with Glorify.

And now I’m crafting beautiful images, ads, and social media content.

And I couldn’t be more excited.

I’ll take you through my recent project soon.
