#167 The Sun Goes Down – KareKare Beach New Zealand

We Stayed Until The Light Was Gone

The waves were getting darker, the sky was burning orange and neither of us was in any hurry to leave.

We kept walking until there wasn’t much light left. Then we pitched our tents in the dunes and slept there.

I still remember the stars that night.

I remember telling my mate how grateful I was that we would actually followed through on this crazy idea of going to New Zealand. We could have talked about it forever. Instead, we went after it.

And because we did, we got to be there.

On an empty beach on the other side of the world, watching the sun disappear into the ocean.

That felt pretty damn special.
