I’m Documenting A Life I don’t Want to Forget…

I live in the Netherlands, I take a lot of photographs, and recently I was taking photos of my family when I realized how some of the moments I barely noticed back in the day mean everything to me now.

How easily memories fade.

And how important it is to capture even the ordinary moments.

That’s probably why this website exists and why I keep posting here.

I don’t have some grand mission. I’m not trying to teach anyone how to live, how to do photography, or whatever… I’m just trying to pay attention to the little details while my life is flying by.

And what better way to do that than with a camera.

And even though it might look like I’m a landscape photographer… well, I’m not.

This website isn’t about landscape photography.

I built it as a place where I can put all the moments I photograph without having to worry too much about whether they fit into a certain category.

A sunrise somewhere in the Netherlands while I’m out on my morning MTB ride, a road trip through the Alps like I did this summer… or my kids doing something stupid… these are the moments I want to keep and remember.

I’m a big fan of hiking, mountain biking, or just chilling at home working on projects… and sometimes, out of nowhere, something sparks a glimpse of inspiration and boom, I’m looking through the viewfinder, capturing whatever it is.

And if it means something to me, makes me stop for a second, or I simply feel like taking a shot of it… it belongs here.

That’s pretty much the rule.

I guess, in the end, this whole website is just my way of keeping track of the things that catch my attention before they disappear.

I’m originally from Karviná in the Czech Republic and now live in the Netherlands.

If you feel like looking around, take a look through some of the photographs.

Maybe one of them will spark something in you… who knows, maybe even make you want to get out there too.
