On Friday I went to Safety Nation in Geleen.
I was looking for some solid, indestructible work/hiking trousers I can use on my morning rides, for work around the house, and just something I can rely on without spending a fortune.
And I found a pair from Snickers called the 6341…
One thing that stood out right away was the sizing. They make them extra long for tall people, and with me being almost 2 metres tall, I knew I was onto something…
Tried them on in the shop and they fit like a glove.
Couldn’t be happier…
But why am I telling you this?
Because I might be onto something here… especially if you’re like me and also hate how some outdoor brands overprice shoes, trousers, jackets and pretty much everything else.
And the quality isn’t what it used to be either.
Not long ago, I went to Bever Outdoor Outlet in Roermond and saw Fjällräven trousers for €200… then a fucking jacket for €269… T-shirts for €89 and so on.
Am I printing money or what?
It’s not normal…
Anyway… when I heard about Snickers, their sizing and the quality, I had to check them out.
For what I do… hiking, photography, cycling, messing around in the woods, some work around the house… I think these Snickers will do just fine.
Stretchy. Solid. Perfect for what I need.
And about half the price of Fjällräven.
So if you’re tall and also sick of companies overpricing everything, maybe give Snickers a try.
And thank me later…
