#145 Fogy Morning By Stadpark Sittard

145 Foggy Morning By Stadspark Sittard

As a kid, January was my favourite month of the year because of the snow we used to get in Karviná — deep, heavy powder that made every day feel like pure fun.

Build bunkers.

Build snowmen.

Build slides and igloos.

Endless play until it got dark.

Golden days.

Simple joy.

These days?

Here?

Hmm.

You might’ve heard about Russia’s far east… the town of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky… where record snowfall this winter buried the place under metres of snow.

The heaviest snowfall in decades.

Drifts so deep people had to dig tunnels just to get around.

It’s wild.

Hardcore.

But at least it’s the kind of winter you’ll remember forever.

You’ll remember that winter.

That’s what makes it interesting.

Honestly…

I wish something memorable would happen here.

Something where you’d look back and say:

Fuck… that was an amazing winter.

#121 Frozen

121 Frozen

“The hill looked like it had been dipped in silence.”

Grass frozen.

Branches frozen.

Even the air felt frozen.

But honestly… it was the perfect morning to slow down.

To think.

To sort things out in my head.

To plan my next photos — and the whole year ahead.

And just… breathe.

Walks like this are gold.

Love them.

#102 The Shit We Collect

DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Mechelse Heide

Something hit me recently.

I read this line:

“All the shit we collect throughout our lives means nothing. We come with nothing. We leave with nothing. The shit you buy will get sold, given away, or scrapped. It makes more sense to take that money and travel.”

I couldn’t agree more.

Never in my life have I felt happier than when I was on the road.

There’s something about it.

I believe every gadget, every upgrade, every “thing” we own — big or small — eventually ends up in someone else’s hands or in a landfill.

But the memories?

The places you’ve been, the people you’ve met, the moments that burned themselves into your mind — those stay forever.

They become you.

You’ll take them to your grave.

That’s why traveling should be high on your list of priorities.

I once saw a video of a guy walking the streets, asking older people what they’d do if they were young again.

And every single one of them — without hesitation — answered the same thing:

Travel more.

#25 Ridgemonkey Grilla BBQ

Ridgemonkey Grilla BBQ Dual Fuel

Most of the crap you buy collects dust. This didn’t.

Last year I stumbled on a video of some guy car camping in the mountains, flipping burgers on this foldable RidgeMonkey grill. Five minutes later, the idea had me by the throat. Next thing I knew, I was cooking my own burgers on it. And here’s what I’ve got to say about it…

I’ve grilled with it, cooked with it, dragged it along on trips… and it hasn’t let me down once.

Most gear is hype. This little BBQ? The best thing I bought in 2024. No doubt!

#12 The Simplicity

Ten years back, this is what we had for time-lapses.

An egg timer.

Not a slick app. Not some AI auto-edit.

A literal kitchen tool strapped to a camera.

I’d stand there, freezing on a street corner, waiting for the world to crawl across the frame.

And that’s what made it beautiful: the simplicity.
